Each year Book Trust students and teachers complete a survey that measures the impact of the program on students’ reading skills, attitudes, and behaviors.

The data we gather continues to support with strong evidence that access to and choice and ownership of a diverse range of age-appropriate books contributes to an increased love for reading. This translates into:

- More positive attitudes toward reading books
- More productive reading behaviors
- Increased skills
- Expanded interests
- Improved academic performance
- Increased motivation to learn

Combined, this leads to a classroom culture and home environment that better supports literacy growth.

We are committed to making a difference in the lives of students from low-income families—helping to develop their literacy skills and fostering life-long learning.
